Great Review from Publisher’s Weekly

The first industry review of THE PRICE OF REDEMPTION, inspiring me to do a shambling but none-the-less happy dance! Publisher’s Weekly really knows how to make a person feel good about their first published novel. If you want to read the review, you can find it HERE.

I find there’s something magic about having my work praised by a professional critic who doesn’t know me from Adam. People I trust assured me they enjoyed my story, and at least one literary agent and an editor at a publishing company apparently thought it was a decent read, too. For some reason, though, it always nagged at me that my friends have known me for years and are certainly biased. Even my agent and publisher were suspect. After all, they’d both corresponded with me by email and talked to me several times over the phone - it was possible that they’d fallen prey to my overwhelming charisma, the burden of which is I must accept as a natural counterbalance to my amazing athleticism.

This reviewer, on the other hand, had no cause to be careful of my feelings. Their only touchstone on the quality of my writing was the work itself. This idea boosted my confidence immensely. I’m much less worried how Enid and Nath will fare when they set sail into the larger world!
